Broadway Farmers Market 

 

 

 

The Broadway Farmers Market opened in 1990 making it 30 years old this year. The market has steadily evolved over that period and now has over 70 vendors offering a wide selection of locally grown produce, hot foodflowers, specialty foods, and artisanal products. The market has weekly live music and café seating as well. It’s open Thursdays from May to October from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. 

 

Point Ruston Farmers Market 

 

 

 

Situated in the center of the Grand Plaza near the waterfront of Commencement Bay, the Point Ruston Farmers Market has one of the best locations in the cityIn addition to the shopping and walking trails surrounding this farmers market, you’ll also be able to buy local produce, flowers, baked goods, fresh pastas, and lots of other items. The market runs on Sundays from June through September from 10 am to 3 pm.  

 

Proctor Farmers’ Market 

 

 

The Proctor Farmers’ Market was founded in the 1990s and runs Saturdays from March to December. They also have a winter season and are open 2nd Saturdays of each month from January through March. The market offers the gambit of foods including fruits and vegetables, meats, seafood, and cheeses, eggs, honey, flowers, plants, and more. They also have cooking demos, live music, special events. What’s unique about Proctor Farmers’ Market is that it’s managed by a board made up mainly of farmers. This helps them stay true to their mission of supporting local farmers.  

 

Tacoma Happy Market 

 

 

The Tacoma Happy Market is every Saturday and is located at Anthem Coffee1911 Pacific Ave This outdoor market features a handful of small businesses featuring handmade goods, as well as live music, food, and a beer garden. 

 

Eastside Farmers Market 

 

 

The Eastside Farmers Market is located in the historic McKinley District on the east side of TacomaThe market is open Tuesdays from 3 pm to 7 pm June through August and features a wide array of locally sourced fruits and vegetables, honey, flowers, and baked goods. They also have local food trucks come by that offer a range of dinner options. The market also has live music, kids’ activities, cooking demonstrations, and other special events. They accept EBT and offers the Fresh Bucks EBT matching program. 

 

Tacoma Summer Vegan Market 

 

 

This unique farmers market is 100% vegan featuring local vegan and cruelty-free businesses. The Tacoma Summer Vegan Market is located at The People’s Community Center, 1602 MLK Jr Way in the Hilltop area of Tacoma. While dates for 2020 have not been announced, last year’s market had three dates during the summer – once in June, July, and August.
