Who We Are

West Coast Self-Storage was founded in 2006 by four former Shurgard Self Storage executives who believed customers deserved more from a storage company — better service, better-run facilities, and a smoother experience from the first phone call to the last time you close that unit door.

Nearly two decades later, we operate over 160 storage facilities across Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Idaho — and we’re still growing. But no matter which location you walk into, the standard stays the same.

We’re proud members of the Self Storage Association, as well as the state storage associations in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Idaho. It’s part of how we stay connected to the industry, advocate for customers, and hold ourselves to a higher standard.

What We Specialize In

Self-storage is all we do — and we think that focus shows.

We offer storage units in a wide range of sizes to fit just about any situation — from a small space for a few boxes to large units that can hold the contents of an entire home. Depending on the location, you’ll find options like drive-up storage units for easy loading and unloading, heated storage units for protection against freezing temps, and climate-controlled storage units for belongings sensitive to heat or humidity. Each facility is a little different, so it’s easy to find the right combination of features for what you need.

At select locations, we also offer RV storage, boat storage, and car storage for customers who need a safe, accessible place to keep their vehicles when they’re not in use. If you’re not sure whether a specific facility offers vehicle storage, just give us a call — we’ll point you in the right direction.

Beyond the units themselves, most locations carry moving boxes and packing supplies, and offer dollies and handcarts to make move-in day a little less of a workout.
