The advertised unit sizes for rent are approximate, and the actual units at the self-storage facility may vary slightly in shape or size. Customers are encouraged to inspect the specific unit they intend to rent before signing a rental agreement and make their decision based on the inspection, not the advertised size. Rental prices for units are not determined by square footage.
Smart Unit Trial Disclaimer
Smart Unit service is available at select locations and is provided with an initial 30-day free trial at no obligation. Following the expiration of the 30-day trial period, the service will automatically continue and be billed at the monthly subscription rate of $15.00 unless canceled by the tenant. Cancellation may be made at any time and will prevent future charges. The 30-day free trial is issued as a $15.00 rent credit applied to the tenant’s account at the time of rental; the rent credit has no cash value and is non-refundable. Availability, terms, features, and pricing are subject to change and may vary by location.

About Ferndale, Washington
Information
Ferndale is roughly 3 miles north of Bellingham, Washington on the I-5 corridor. We’re also only 27 km from Canada! The town has a population of 14,354 as of the 2010 census, which makes it the 3rd largest city in Whatcom County.
Ferndale was inhabited by peoples of the Lummi Nation dating back 12,000 years. The Lummi called the land “Te-tas-um,” which means, “the crossing place above Lummi.” The first pioneer to settle in the area was a Texan named Billy Clark, who with his wife Cecilia Chanique, built a cabin near the Nooksack River in 1873.
Ferndale’s economy was originally based on timber and agriculture. Today, two refineries and a shoe manufacturing plant are major employers in the city.
