More Space Storage – Spokane has been part of downtown Spokane for well over a century — though for most of that time, it wasn’t storing anything at all. Today we carry a 4.5-star average across more than 200 reviews.

Our building was constructed in 1907 by the Empire Candy Company, founded in 1899 by Fred E. Krause and E.F. Gurske. In 1908, the company merged with the Inland Cracker Company to become the Inland Empire Biscuit Company — later also known as the Tru-Blu Biscuit Company starting in 1915. A four-story addition followed in 1914, designed by noted Spokane architect Albert Held. By the early 2000s, the building housed A-Economy Storage, the direct predecessor of today’s More Space Storage – Spokane. More than a century after the first cracker rolled off the line, we’re still putting this building to work for the people of Spokane — just with boxes and furniture instead of biscuits and candy.

We think storage should be simple: fair, month-to-month pricing, a secure building, and people who actually pick up the phone. No gimmicks, no fine print designed to confuse you — it’s the same straightforward approach that’s kept this building in continuous use for well over a hundred years, just under a different name.
