When renting a moving truck, the first step is to determine the correct size of truck or van that you’ll need. If are you moving only a few items, you’ll most likely want to rent a pickup or van. If you’ve got a studio apartment or one-bedroom condo, a 10-foot truck should do. If you have a two-bedroom apartment, a 15-foot truck will probably work for you. We suggest using a layering approach whereby you place heavier items such as furniture and appliances on the lower layers, followed by boxes and small objects on top. Then, secure these layers with rope to prevent movement and breakage.
