About Us

West Coast Self-Storage is your neighborhood storage provider. We’re redefining what self-storage is by building gleaming new, clean storage facilities around the Pacific Northwest. Our newest facility in Shoreline, Washington is a great example. When you walk in, you’ll be amazed at how nice the storage lockers are, how friendly the staff is, and how easy we make it to move in!

Heated Storage Spaces

Winters in the Seattle area can be brutal and do some serious damage to sensitive items left in un-heated environments. With our heated storage units, your belongings will stay cozy and protected. This is particularly good for business files, family memorabilia like photo albums, and artwork.

Storage Access When You Need It

Life doesn’t always accommodate a 9-5, M-F schedule. That’s why we make our access hours as long as possible. Our gate and unit access starts at 6 AM and closes at 10 PM every day of the year.

Month-to-Month Storage Agreement

Not sure how long you need a storage unit? No problem! Our storage units are rented on a month-to-month basis so you don’t have to commit to any long-term agreement.

Stop by For a Tour

We invite you to stop by for a visit. We’ll show you around and you can get a first-hand idea of how big each storage unit is. That way, you can start envisioning the size unit you’ll need. Our store managers have become very adept at knowing which size to suggest based on what you think you’ll be storing.

About Shoreline, Washington

Shoreline is a beautiful city of 53,000, located just a few miles north of Seattle. The town, originally known as Richmond Beach, extends from Lake Washington on the east border of the city, to Puget Sound on the west. Our store is located very close to the heart of Shoreline, between the neighborhoods of Ronald and Highland Terrace.

The area was first inhabited by Native American tribes including the Duwamish tribe. After the completion of the Seattle-Everette Interurban railway line in 1906, the area of Shoreline became more of a bedroom community of Seattle, allowing people to commute to their jobs in the city from their homes in “North Seattle.”

While its proximity to Seattle makes it easy to get to all that a major metropolitan city has to offer, Shoreline has grown to become a city with its own identity and cultural attractions. The city has 14 well-defined neighborhoods, each offering a different experience. Shoreline is dedicated to the arts, with over 40 public art installations around the city as well as 15 annual arts events including the Shoreline Arts Festival, which brings in over 10,000 people annually.

Transit access is one of Shoreline’s top priorities. Residents and visitors can ditch their cars and hop onto Metro’s RapidRide E-line from Aurora Village transit center to Downtown Seattle. There are also eight park-and-ride lots and 18 bus routes serving the city.

Things to Do in Shoreline

Celebrate Shoreline

The city has an annual birthday celebration each August called Celebrate Shoreline. The event features happenings all over the city from children’s activities, to live music and theater, to food trucks and a beverage garden. You’ll also find a car show, a folk music concert, a skate competition and many other events.

Shoreline Historical Museum

Every city needs a good history museum, and Shoreline has one. The Shoreline Historical Museum gives you the full picture as to how the city came to be. It features some great interactive exhibits and documents the day-to-day lives of the Native American tribes in the area as well as the pioneers that made the area their home. The museum has a number of events throughout the year, including Golden Wheels Race Car Day, featuring vintage race cars, and Hands-On Day, which occurs the fourth Saturday of each month, and gives children ages 4 to 12 fun, free projects to make and keep.
