Customer service provided by Vince was exceptional. I'm grateful for his help. He's very good at his job, he's very knowledgeable and shared lots of details and important information. He made me feel comfortable with my choices. He's also a really nice guy.My two issues are that there are not enough carts! There is only ONE for this entire storage location. That doesn't work.Second, there is NO AC where the storage units are and the air is stuffy and warm. I fear the possibility of mold if it gets too hot and moist. 🤞🏼 Fingers crossed.Otherwise, it's nice to be in a new building and I was happy to receive Vince's assistance.

Consistent, long hours of access all week, and it was super easy to rent a space online even tho the office was closed for labor day. Glad cause I was in a hurry to get one. The price is the best around, but there is one hidden fee in the form of mandatory insurance at a minimum of $13/month

Sylvia the assistant manager was absolutely wonderful, kind, and a genuine person. She was extremely informative and gave me the best options when it came to the storage units. They also had a discount going on which saved me from a whole lot of stress. Her customer service was above and beyond and was lovely to talk too. Her transparency, honesty, and listening to customers wants and needs is what led me to give her all my trust and was never disappointed. I will recommend this to anyone who needs a storage unit and will definitely return if I ever need it again (hopefully she will still be there) . I found West Coast Self-Storage after discovering my old storage facility had a water intrusion issue, and I had to move out in a hurry. I’m so glad West Coast had the spaces to accommodate this urgent need. I got a thorough tour of the facility from Mgr. Timm Wynn, and felt confident this was a good place to choose. So far so good! 👍
This facility is quite new, clean and dry, temp-controlled and well-lit. It is also well managed, under the watchful eye of Timm, who actually cares about providing personable, professional service to tenants and keeping security at the forefront – which is a high priority for all of us tenants. There are cameras everywhere which are monitored, both on-site and remotely, as well as digitally recording.
I hope I’ll be as pleased, for the duration, as I have been for the past couple months here.

I noticed that the whole building was spotless. It was so refreshing to encounter someone who really cares about good customer service.

This is the ONLY storage facility I will use because 1. It’s a nice & safe building with bathroom use 2. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Their employee Tim is a great asset to their company , as he is extremely helpful to everyone, and makes the customers feel very valued and important . If there is anything he can do to help a customer with any concerns , he will gladly . I can see he is a very hard worker for this storage facility. Excellent service and excellent facility. The manager, Timm, is friendly, professional, and thoughtful.I "moved in" online, so all of my paperwork was digital. When I saw the unit, I realized I wanted a 5x10, not a 10x5. Timm was awesome -- he immediately switched my unit to a 5x10 with no issues.The move-in process was pretty seamless. The moving supplies prices are very reasonable; we got a mattress cover for less than $10.All of the security measures definitely made us feel safer storing our things here. Plus, the facility is super clean. And, the rates are incredibly affordable.Timm made this experience so great, that we decided to rent out another unit for our business.

Move in from another state made easy!
It was really easy to get all set up online for the reservation. When I was trying to check in online there was an issue, so I had to call the facility to get everything in order so that we could move in out of office hours. The manager was very kind and allowed me to do it and send my ID via email for the identification check. I really like that you get to pick your own code. The facility is really nice, too.

Great brand new facility! Very clean, and the sign up process was easy and low stress. I just booked a unit here and after comparing a lot of other storage facilities in town, I felt like this was the best balance of price, location, and size. Plus the area feels SAFE and has a nicer vibe than most other places. There are actually windows in the building that let in natural light so you don't feel like you're trapped in a maze when accessing your unit. Timm, the manager, was great to work with. He was patient and thoughtful with me about choosing a unit to best fit my needs. He also comes across as someone who genuinely cares about his work and that's evident in the way he cares for the building and helps other clients.

The on site manager, I think his name is Tim, is super friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we got into the building, had a cart, and helped us understand the elevator, and navigate the building our first time. Lunar New Year at Lan Su Chinese Garden: Every year starting in February, Lan Su Chinese Garden celebrates the Lunar New Year. The garden is decorated with glowing lanterns for nights of viewing, and there are vibrant lion dance performances.
Portland Rose Festival: Every year for more than a century, Portland has celebrated their official festival with the Portland Rose Festival! This celebration includes over sixty events, including art shows, carnival rides, parades, and more. The event runs from late May to mid-June, and is always a treat for the senses, from the opening night fireworks show to the fair food and live music. Waterfront Blues Festival: Portland’s yearly Waterfront Blues Festival is held at Tom McCall Waterfront Park every summer. It’s hosted over 2,000 artists and raised over $10 million dollars for local charities like the Oregon Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. The festival features incredible artists of blues, soul, funk, and R&B music, and some of Portland’s best food trucks!
Jade Night Market: The Jade Night Market is a community event in August, where almost 100 vendors provide multicultural offerings of food, music, and goods. Buy beautiful, hand-crafted wares, eat delicious food from local Asian restaurants like HK Café and Pure Spice restaurant, and enjoy performances of entertainment such as Bollywood dance and Japanese taiko drumming.
Rose City Comic Con: For all things geeky, consider Rose City Comic Con at the Oregon Convention Center! Oregon’s premier comic convention usually occurs in late Summer, and is a celebration of comics, games, cosplay, sci-fi, and everything else pop culture. There, you’ll find celebrity guests, informative and hilarious panels.

Life in the Madison South neighborhood and NE Portland does include a higher cost of living than you find in many other locations. The median real estate price in Madison South is $529,474, which is more expensive than 52.7% of other neighborhoods in Oregon and 70.5% of other neighborhoods in the United States. The average rental price in the neighborhood is around $2,110 per month, however, which is lower than 40.5% of other Oregon neighborhoods. Residences in Madison South are largely made up of small to medium sized single-family homes and apartment complexes, many of which are older and well-established.
