Long Dog Storage Units

RV & Boat Storage Sizes

If you already own an RV or boat—or you’re still thinking about buying an RV—we’ve got the space to keep it protected. Choose from enclosed storage units ranging 12×30 up to 14.5×48, with select doors at 14’ high for tall RVs and wake boats with towers. Every unit is ground-level, so no ramps or elevators—just back in, plug in (where available), and you’re done. Not sure what fits your rig or trailer? Give us a call and we’ll match you to the right size in minutes.

Self Storage Units

Even though we’re built for RVs and boats, our fully enclosed units also make fantastic self-storage spaces. With sizes starting at 12×30 and stretching up to 14.5×48, you’ll have room to spread out, organize, and keep everything under one roof. Every unit is ground-level with extra-wide drive lanes (easy truck access), plus built-in lighting and an outlet so you can see what you’re doing while you sort and stage.

Why People Use Our Larger Spaces for Self Storage:

  • Moving or in-between homes: Store the entire household while moving, waiting on closing, or new home construction.
  • New build or remodel: Keep furniture and appliances clean, protected, and out of the work zone.
  • Seasonal changeovers: Tuck away patio sets, camping gear, snow gear, and holiday décor until you need them.
  • Collections & hobbies: Give large collections, tools, or hobby setups the breathing room they deserve.
  • Business storage: Whether you have inventory, samples, event equipment, fixtures, or archives without cramming the garage.
  • Life transitions: Make space fast during downsizing, estate projects, or long trips.

Additional Reasons to Store with Long Dog Storage

Protection & Build Quality

Your rig lives better indoors. Our facilities are built with metal framing, walls, and roof, sealed doors, and a routine pest-control program to help minimize dust and critters. Paved drives, excellent drainage, and bright LED lighting keep things clean, visible, and easy to navigate year-round.

Security & Monitoring

Security isn’t a buzzword here—it’s layered. You’ll get gated access with a unique PIN, a fully fenced perimeter, 24/7 video monitoring, individually alarmed doors, and on-site staff. Clear protocols and visible systems give you peace of mind when you’re away.

Power & Convenience

Every unit includes lighting and an electrical outlet, with 30-amp service available on select sizes—perfect for battery tenders or quick prep. While we don’t offer a wash bay, dump station, air, or water fill, we do stock moving boxes and packing supplies on site to keep gear organized.

Access & Maneuverability

Hit the road on your schedule: 6:00am–10:00pm access, 365 days a year. Extra-wide drive lanes make parking larger Class A coaches and trailer boats straightforward. (No drive-through units—just roomy lanes and ground-level access for easy backing.)

Simple Rentals & Payments

Reserve or rent online and move in the same day. Set up autopay or pay online. We accept checks, money orders, cash, and all major cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover). Month-to-month leases, a $30 admin fee, and prorated move-out with 30-day notice keep everything simple and flexible.

Insurance Options

Prefer coverage tailored to stored vehicles? We offer self-storage insurance through Bader with a low monthly cost and no deductible. If your existing policy covers storage, you can use that, too—whatever works best for you.

Storage FAQs – Long Dog Storage

When can I move in?

Today, if you’d like. Once you complete your rental—online or in the office—we’ll activate your account and you can access your unit 6:00am–10:00pm the same day. You’ll get a unique gate PIN, simple move-in instructions, and tips for parking your specific rig so your first visit is smooth.

What documentation do I need to rent?

A government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) is required. If you’re storing a vehicle, having your registration and proof of insurance handy helps us get you parked faster and keeps your account details tidy. If you want additional drivers on your account, we can add them too (see below).

Do I have to sign a long-term lease?

You do sign a lease—but it’s a simple month-to-month rental agreement. There’s no long-term commitment; it renews each month until you’re ready to leave. Just give us a 30-day notice when you plan to vacate and we’ll prorate your final month. Need a different size later? We can help you switch based on availability.

How do I make a payment?

Whatever’s easiest for you: pay online from your phone or desktop, pay in person, or mail a check/money order. Most customers set up autopay so billing just happens—no reminders needed. We also have a 24/7 payment kiosk on site for quick, after-hours convenience.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Checks, money orders, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You can change or update your card in the online portal anytime.

How do I know how much storage space I need?

Call us for a quick fit check. We’ll confirm door height and unit depth against your overall length, tower/rack height, and hitch or tongue. If you’re on the fence, we’ll recommend the best size so you can park comfortably with room to walk around.

Are there any items I can’t store?

Yes—liquids, explosives, flammables, toxic materials, and perishables aren’t allowed for everyone’s safety. If you’re unsure about specific equipment or fuel-related items that stay with your vehicle, just ask—we’ll walk you through what’s okay and how to store it safely.

Does the facility have on-site management?

Our Post Falls self-storage facility is remotely managed and does not have staff on site. For rentals and inquiries, please reserve a unit on our website or call us directly at (208) 209-3408.

Does someone have to be in the office to let me through the gate?

No. You’ll receive your own gate PIN for 6:00am–10:00pm access every day of the year. The system logs entries and exits, and you can add authorized users so family members or a service tech can get in without waiting on us.

Do you have handcarts or dollies I can use?

Yep—complimentary carts are available to help shuttle gear to and from your unit. Grab one near the entrance, use it as long as you need, and please return it so the next customer can roll out quickly too.

Can I authorize another driver or family member to access my unit?

Absolutely. We’ll add them as authorized users on your account so they have their own gate access and we can verify them quickly in the office. You can update or remove authorizations anytime.

Can I store gear with my RV or boat (covers, tools, coolers, life jackets)?

Yes—feel free to keep non-restricted gear with your vehicle. Many customers use bins and racks to keep things organized so launch day is grab-and-go.

Can I visit more than once in a day?

Of course. You’re welcome to come and go as often as you like during access hours—many customers swing by to grab tackle, top off gear, or stage for an early launch.

Can I change unit sizes later if my needs change?

Yes. If you trade up to a longer rig or go compact for a season, we’ll help you switch units (based on availability) and coordinate timing so the move is as seamless as possible.

What if I forget my gate code?

No stress—call us and we’ll verify your identity, then help you reset it. We can also review best practices for keeping authorized users current.
