About Stockton, CA

Stockton, California is located in the center of the state south of Sacramento and east of San Francisco. The city has a long and glorious history dating back to California’s Gold Rush starting in 1849. With its central location, Stockton became a key trade and transportation hub to the nearby gold mines.

Stockton is also in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, one of the most fertile and productive agricultural meccas in all of California. With access to one of the only inland seaports in California (the Port of Stockton), the city serves as a major shipping point for crops grown in the Valley. The seaport is connected the the Stockton Delta, an extensive network of waterways in and around Stockton. (If you own a boat, we offer boat storage with easy access when you need it. )

The city of Stockton has so much going for it. For one, it’s been named an All-America City four times, the most recent being 2017. Stockton also boasts a number of fantastic annual festivals including the Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival, Greek Food Festival, Pow Wow, Cambodian New Year Celebration, Obon Festival, and more. The Stockton Symphony, founded in 1926, is the third-oldest professional orchestra in the state. There are also a number of museums in town, including the Micke Grove Zoo, Children’s Museum of Stockton, Pixie Woods Amusement Park, and the Haggin Museum. The city also boasts close to 100 miles of off-street trails and paths for biking and jogging.
